Esther Renee Selman is a Berlin based freelance educational consultant specialising in Holocaust and genocide education, with a focus on social impact and community-based projects. Esther is also the founder of ‘Without the Footnotes’ podcast (supported by the Weiss-Livnat Innovation Hub) that brings Holocaust and genocide education to new audiences. Alongside this Esther has been the Community Manager at histoCON – funded by the Bundeszenrale für politische Bildung (bpb), since July 2021.
With 10 years experience in the field of education, Esther has worked, volunteered and studied with a variety of institutions from the UK, Germany, Poland, Budapest, New York and Israel, including March of the Living UK and the The Ghetto Fighters’ House Museum. Esther Holds a BA in Human Rights from Kingston University, London and an MA in Holocaust Studies from The University of Haifa, Israel.
